Beginner Knitting
If you have never picked up knitting needles or it has been years or decades, you will feel supported in my beginner workshop.

You'll learn to knit continental (picking), which has many benefits, and cast on and off for any project.
​
Many beginner projects are within reach such as face cloth, Sophie Scarf, head band and more.




Boxy Top: Intro to Garment Sewing
Ready to start sewing your own clothes but unsure where to begin? Learning how to read a sewing pattern is the perfect place to start, as it’s your roadmap to creating a garment from scratch. In this introductory workshop, I'll break down the basics of garment sewing and help you build the confidence to sew by starting with the classic boxy top. (See photo gallery for examples.)
You’ll learn how to take your measurements accurately and understand how to read and use a garment sewing pattern. I'll also guide you through the essential steps of preparing your fabric and get you comfortable with the entire process, with expert instruction every step of the way. With a mix of jerseys and linens, we'll focus on starters that exude simplicity, clean lines, comfort and timelessness. By the end of this class, you'll feel ready to take on your own garment projects with confidence!

Participants should be comfortable threading both top and bobbin thread, and sewing in a straight and curved lines.




Pocket Perfection!
Want to add pockets to your favorite slacks, skirts or dresses but don’t know where to start? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to add in-seam pockets to ready-made, unlined garments, transforming them into more functional and stylish pieces!
I'll guide you through the process of carefully adding in-seam pockets without compromising the fit or structure of your existing garments. You’ll learn techniques for measuring, marking, and stitching the pockets seamlessly into your clothing item, making them look as though they were always meant to be there.
Participants should have previous sewing machine experience.
